It’s International Lolita Day Tomorrow!

Hi everyone! In case you had forgotten, it’s International Lolita Day tomorrow! As you probably know, Lolitas all over the world celebrate ILD twice a year: on the first Saturday of June and on the first Saturday of December. So tomorrow it’s the summer (or spring, whatever you prefer to call it) edition! Do you have any plans to celebrate this wonderful holiday? ^^

I don’t really have plans. Despite the fact I dressed up on the previous two ILDs, I don’t plan to do so this time as I am not feeling very well. Nevertheless my frills won’t go untouched! I am going to make a nice coord for the Tea Party I am attending next week and I will also, hopefully, work on a little report of my previous meet.

Have a lovely International Lolita Day everyone~! ♥

A Few of My Favourite Things: Roses

I admit I am a bit slow with writing new posts (again). It’s the end of the school year and after an ‘in-between-year’ of ‘doing nothing’ I am suddenly right in the middle of studying for tests again! I’ll admit that I really had to get reused to studying, especially when I have to summarize over 170 pages of music history! But since I got accepted into the first year, I am not complaining. ^^

Anyway, back to business. As an in-between post I decided to do another Favourite Things again! This episode: roses.
Roses have always been very important to me. Not only because they’re gorgeous flowers and smell absolutely wonderfully, but I also like to call them my Name Flowers. My name, Rosalynn, means ‘as beautiful as a rose’ or simply ‘beautiful rose’ (or ‘tender horse’ in a different way of translating, but I am conveniently ignoring that). Now I am not saying I consider myself equally beautiful as a flower as perfect as a rose, but I do really love the meaning of my name. As a child, I used to make jokes about all the roses being my family, since my name was Rose too, but even back then I was very proud of my name.
When it comes to Lolita, I really like flower prints and of course especially the ones that contain roses. We might not have roses in our garden, but I am very happy to say that I at least have them in my closet! I own two of my favourite rose-printed Lolita dresses: Powder Rose and Lady Rose. I hope one day I can welcome Rose Toilette in my frilly wardrobe too!

Do you have a favourite flower that means something to you?
✿ I’d love to know! ✿

Now, seven facts about me!

♥ I really love fairies, ever since I was a child. I used to collect everything fairy-ish and I even had a fairy-themed bedroom. When we changed my room, I kept the part of the wall above my bed in fairy wallpaper.

♥ My favourite book is The NeverEnding Story by Michael Ende. If you haven’t read it I really recommend it!

♥ I can’t whistle. I really can’t.

♥ I have an irrational fear of killer whales. Ever since I read part two of one of my favourite book series, Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver, in which they are described as revengeful killer machines, they just scare me so much! I am also afraid of aliens. Yes, you may laugh.

♥ I am a total dog person. Not that I don’t like cats (I love cats), but I just never had them because my mom is allergic.

♥ Despite it not being my mother language, I often think and dream in English.

♥ I just got accepted into the first year of Classical Singing at my conservatory! I am so happy!

Thank you for reading (I hope you thought it was interesting)! ♥
